Monetize Your Site With InfoProducts For Your Niche

I’m always looking for great new ways to increase the monetization of my information based blogs and sites. I’m sure you do too. And I think I’ve found one. Niche Widget!
If you notice to the right and down, there is a new widget on my blog which features information products that are specific to my readers at this blog. But if you go on AskGirlShrink or Relationship Survival, you will notice that I have the same styled widget, featuring different infoproducts. Those are relationship and self-improvement based. So the great thing with this new monetization strategy, is that you can find products that will work for almost any niche. Not just business or marketing.
Great thing - is that you can sign up for free and start earning money right away. Payments go to your paypal account (which I prefer), but I think you can also have payments sent by check as well. Try it out and let me know how you like it.

Sell Multiple Clickbank Products On One Account

I think I have known about this software for at least two years. It’s called easyclickmate. But like most things on the web, it takes me a while to “catch on” OR I purposely wait to see if it will be a good product or a passing fancy.
I have used several third party processors over the years - and they each have their pros and cons - but it was always important to me that I find one that would work well with my affiliate program. While many new fancy affiliate programs and systems came on the market - I find that nothing beats the system over at clickbank. I can get into all the reasons in another post - but bottom line is, is that there is an army of all ready “conditioned” affiliate marketers ready to promote the heck out of your products over there. You can’t beat it.
Problem is - you can only have one landing page with one account. Yuck! Why is that a problem? Well - that means if you have more than one product, you would have to create a landing page that basically lists all of your products and THEN they could click on those links to get to your sales pages. Too many steps. Lost sales. A pain for the prospect. Plus, you have to pay 49 bucks for each account.
That is why I FINALLY bit the bullet, and ordered the easyclickmate software. I can use this to set up all of my products on ONE clickbank account. AND I can run my affiliate program easily. Sweeeeet:) In fact, I have to stop writing now and go set it up real quick.

Mind Mapping On A Budget

When I am working on the development of one of my information products or one of my books, I like to mind map. Most of the time I use sticky notes, but sometimes I like to create one that I can access from my computer. Problem is that most web-based mind-mapping applications cost and arm and a leg. Not to mention the companies out there that will help you create a mind-map of your next project for an enormous fee!
That’s why I was glad when coach Andrea Lee told me about bubbl.us It’s a free mind-mapping web-based tool that you can use to help create great mind maps of your upcoming projects. Great thing is that it is really easy to learn ( I used it this morning) and you can save your maps as images, embed them in your websites or blogs, or email them to someone on your team.
Try it out at: http://www.bubbl.us/index
Let me know how it works out.

I’ve already secured a joint venture that I’m excited about - just by popping up over there.
Take a look at my expert profile page and feel free to add me to your network friends list if you join. Like most sites - membership is painless and free:) Additionally, you can submit articles over there (something you know I luv to do!)

Get Paid For TopSpots On Your Blog

I’ve been working really hard the last few days working on the launch of my new article marketing continuity site - Articology. I swore that I said that I was going to outsource the writing of my sales page, but of course once again - I thought I could handle it because my 3 bunnies were home this week. No school. But in the middle of writer’s block, I went cruising for content and saw something interesting on a blog that I really like: InternetMarketingSweetie.
It’s this idea of a virtual tipping jar where people can give you a monetary “thank you” for all of your great blog content:) Kinda cool huh? While this isn’t a really new idea, you have always been able to add that Amazon or Payal button begging for tips - but this site does it in a really cool Web 2.0 way. Not only do you get a tip, but their site (with a live link) gets listed as a “top spot” on your blog. Everybody wins!
Check it out over at scratchback.com, and if you like anything you’ve read over here — feel free to leave me a tip!

How To Promote Your Content Rapidly To Get Real Traffic

I must admit that I have a fascination with search engine optimization tactics. I started using them back in ‘03 when I first started on the web as merely a hobby and fell in love with it. I guess because I saw real results for my site without having to pay a dime! Who doesn’t love free?
But a lot of things have changed since I first started on the web - and the old way of promoting content like articles have dramatically changed. No longer should we be trying to write as much content as we can and submit it to every directory that will accept us. And if you’re still doing that you may want to seriously consider taking a look at my upcoming article marketing course:) But having said that - a more Web 2.0 and fresh approach to getting your content out there to as many fresh eyes as possible WHILE building authoritative links back to your website is by creating your own Article Branding Kitâ„¢. So what is it?
Basically you write three to five original articles which really embodies what problems your company is in the business of solving AND post the link to those articles (which should be hosted on your own website) on all of the social media networks that you are a member of such as: facebook, myspace, etc. Any social media site which allows you to have a profile page is a good candidate. Make sure to position your ABK as a special offer or a sneak peak to make it more enticing. Now you’ve created a path of traffic back to your site while also creating a link to your site from a very authoritative website with good ranking (which is good for your site too).
*Take note that this is different from a freebie you are offering for signing up for your newsletter etc. These articles should be offered to the site visitor without obligation - as they are functioning as your extended business card. An extension of your brand.
If you want to learn more about how to design and promote your own article branding kit, look out for my upcoming article marketing course which is designed to help beginners and advanced web marketers generate tons more traffic to their sites for free! Coming in March!

As I’ve mentioned before, I have decided to focus on a few social marketing platforms and build a presence there. And then the others - I may just add a page in order to build an authoritative link back to my site and add an article branding kit on it. So if you’d like to join me, please add me to your friends list. See you on the other side:)

When Someone Scrapes Your Blog
February 6, 2008 by Lisa Angelettie
Filed under Article Marketing, Blog Marketing
If someone scrapes your blog, it means that a very lazy person out there is stealing content from your blog and pasting it in theres to create the illusion of original content. Most of these people build blogs around various popular topics, scrape blogs for content, and profit through adsense and other monetization options.
It use to be that scrapers only stole content from the big bloggers. But now that’s getting a little too dangerous for them to do, so it’s much easier to steal from the smaller blogger who may not even know how to check to see if someone is stealing their content. This could be you!
Now, when someone scrapes your blog…
1. You may feel helpless and angry and want to call the copyright office, but that’s not the right protocol nor the way to get matters resolved quickly. Trust me - I’ve been through it.
2. The first step is a simple one and that is to contact the owner or webmaster of the blog usually by email. And give them the url of the content they scraped and the original url of where they can find your content. Make mention to them that they have used your content without your consent and you would like them to take it down within 24 hours. If you can get a hold of someone, this step is usually the last step. Most people will take it down fast. End of story. But if not…
3. The second step would be to contact them again if you haven’t heard from them via snail mail, telephone, etc.
4. The third step if you haven’t been satisfied is to contact the webhost and/or domain host of the site which has a responsibility to help you seek a resolution. You can check this by using the WhoIs database through GoDaddy.com. Just plug in the domain name and after it says that the domain is already taken - there will be a link next to it that you can click on which says “click here for info”. Click on that and you can usually find the owner’s name and contact information for the site.
Remember that anything you write on your blog that is your original content is protected under the copyright laws of the U.S. So you are in your full rights to pursue this course of action.
*Also if you own a blog powered by wordpress (like this one) or a blog which is actually on wordpress.com (a free one), then your rights and how you pursue copyright infringement can be a little different depending on which one you own. Learn more about wordpress content theft at Lorelle’s blog.

Build A Membership Site Quickly Using Articles

Creating a membership site is one of the hottest new income streams for businesses online. The main reason being is that it provides you with a steady stream of income on a regular basis. A repeat customer if you will.
But a lot of you have hesitated in building one - and rightly so! Because creating the content necessary to run a traditional membership site is a lot of work. And you have to keep creating it. Which is more work. But marketing expert Jimmy D Brown has come up with a great new membership site model - that could work for any business - any market. And you can truly set it up in 48 hours!
All you need to get started is one 2-3 page article and his instruction on how to get things started, how to promote it, how to grow it, etc. I was SO excited about this new and very affordable program (named Membernaire) that I joined it as well and look forward to creating my own membership program really soon. If you want to join me in building a membership site quickly - then take a look at some more detailed information on the program.

The Decision To Clarify My Brand
February 4, 2008 by Lisa Angelettie

I’ve been working with a coach lately - and we both felt really sure that I needed to tweak and clarify my brand. What I find in others (which I refused to admit myself) was that I was a little afraid of being narrow — and not including everyone. Isn’t that so typically girly:)
So look for me to make a few changes in the next few weeks to this blog, my newsletter, and the products and services I will be introducing over the next few months to support this “re-birth”. I look forward to the days ahead and I hope you’ll be with me:)
