Monetize Your Site With InfoProducts For Your Niche

I’m always looking for great new ways to increase the monetization of my information based blogs and sites. I’m sure you do too. And I think I’ve found one. Niche Widget!
If you notice to the right and down, there is a new widget on my blog which features information products that are specific to my readers at this blog. But if you go on AskGirlShrink or Relationship Survival, you will notice that I have the same styled widget, featuring different infoproducts. Those are relationship and self-improvement based. So the great thing with this new monetization strategy, is that you can find products that will work for almost any niche. Not just business or marketing.
Great thing - is that you can sign up for free and start earning money right away. Payments go to your paypal account (which I prefer), but I think you can also have payments sent by check as well. Try it out and let me know how you like it.

Build A Membership Site Quickly Using Articles

Creating a membership site is one of the hottest new income streams for businesses online. The main reason being is that it provides you with a steady stream of income on a regular basis. A repeat customer if you will.
But a lot of you have hesitated in building one - and rightly so! Because creating the content necessary to run a traditional membership site is a lot of work. And you have to keep creating it. Which is more work. But marketing expert Jimmy D Brown has come up with a great new membership site model - that could work for any business - any market. And you can truly set it up in 48 hours!
All you need to get started is one 2-3 page article and his instruction on how to get things started, how to promote it, how to grow it, etc. I was SO excited about this new and very affordable program (named Membernaire) that I joined it as well and look forward to creating my own membership program really soon. If you want to join me in building a membership site quickly - then take a look at some more detailed information on the program.

Should You Build A Squid Who Page?

I’m sure many of you are familiar with the phenomena of squidoo pages. The great site developed by marketing whiz Seth Godin, where you can write about almost anything under the sun and instantly become considered an expert on your topic. Well - almost instantly.
The PR ranking for these sites were extremely high about a year ago - and some say they have been taking a hit by google recently, but the ranking is still worth the effort. Especially if you build a squidoo page around the topic of your niche.
Another new cool squidoo offering - is to build a page about “people” only on SquidWho.com. This site is pretty much the same principle as squidoo, except that you can’t build a page around say things like “laptop bags” - only on people.
This is great for us buzz builders! We can build a site that will get us some great google love all about us. While there are pages on many famous people - the site also invites the not-so-famous to create pages as well. So don’t be intimitated by the Top 100 on the home page. You’ll be there soon:)
A few things to note…
1. When you create a new squid-who page - the royalties are automatically set up to go to the Acumen Fund - but like your squidoo pages, you can set it up for cash to you. A nice option.
2. Your squidoo pages and your squidWho pages will be together on one dashboard - so you don’t have to login two places. Sweeeet. You will also be able to see how many clicks your pages are getting, what your rank is, and how much money they’ve earned.
3. SquidWho also gives you a few great traffic tips for your pages and they send out a nice newsletter (squidoo does) which helps you refine your pages as well.

Sitemeter Vs. Google Analytics

I have been using sitemeter’s free and premium site tracking service for years.
Recently I decided to take a look at Google’s site-tracking script, Google Analytics (Urchin).
While I had no problems with sitemeter, I love my free Gmail so much — I thought it only common sense to at least take a look at what Google had to offer in other areas.
For those of you who don’t know me…I HATED split-testing and tracking my websites. Now, I am like a junky. I can’t wait to see those new stats. Can’t wait to see what marketing tactics are working and which ones aren’t.
Google’s tool had a really cool interface. Much easier to navigate than sitemeter’s — but you know what? Google is still “gathering data” on my site. It says that I installed the code correctly but still…no data. Still - just gathering.
I have never had any installation issues with sitememter’s javascript code. (they also have html code) So I’m sticking with sitemeter.
I’ll give Google one more try, just so I can at least see how it works in comparison with sitemeter…but if I can’t get it to work — then why am I working so hard to try it?
