I got the greatest article ideas today – just from talking to a few folks I met this morning. What happened was I just finished returning from taking my oldest daughter Autumn to her first musical theater class since we have moved here to Philadelphia. She loved it.
It was an hour and a half and you couldn’t really watch or listen to the class, so I started chatting up a few mothers outside the class. I think in about 15 minutes, I came up with three different article ideas for one of my other niches from talking to these nice women. Of course I wasn’t fishing for article ideas, but we just started talking about our kids, school, and other common topics among moms and a light bulb simply lit in my head.
My point here is that I talk to clients all the time who are struggling with coming up with article ideas for their businesses, and a great way to do this is not to think so hard!
Think about the last great conversation you had, especially with people you don’t know. What did they talk about? What were their concerns? What did they complain about? Or what great experiences did they share?
If you find that you both had common experiences or approached and solved a common problem in different ways — you have the foundation for a lot of great articles.
This laid back article idea approach works really well if you use affiliate article marketing, but can also work in your own business. You just have to figure out how to tie in the things you discussed with your business niche.
Bottom line — start talking! You may be surprised what you discover other than just good conversation.

Just wanted to tell you how much you have encouraged me to write. I am going to start a blog this month and have not known what to say and where to start. Writing about things I am passionate about will be so much easier. I am into personal development, family, love, passion and coaching others to live an Xtraordianary life. Thank you for the ideas. Kathy

Glad to have offered some inspiration Kathy. You should absolutely start writing about things that flow easily for you. Things you love. And then take if from there. Much Success!

That’s true. You never know where your best ideas are going to come from. I get some of my best ideas from looking at TV ads (strange enough).
