Make Money Promoting Article Marketing Tips On Amazon

Are you an Amazon.com affiliate? Isn’t everybody:) If you are and you love article marketing or writing articles, then it should be a no-brainer to promote article marketing tips and strategies to your Kindle readers.

Even with the competition heating up (iPad, Nook, Sony Reader), Kindle sales are still great and people are slowly using their Kindles for more than reading novels. They are subscribing to newspapers, blogs, and reading their favorite PDF files. (I read many of my information products on my Kindle:)

Also, I can tell by my slowly increasing income from folks who have subscribed to my blog, that interest is picking up. So as you are promoting books, products, etc., think about also promoting CONTENT. While you will not pay your mortgage with the money you make:), my argument is that it’s something new and fresh to offer your members AND something you may want to learn more about so that you can promote your own content as well. Just a few quick steps…

1. Sign up as an affiliate over on the Amazon site

2. Get your code to promote my Article Marketing Tips blog subscription

3. To find the product in amazon, you can use my direct link or you can do a search for “article marketing tips” on Amazon.

4. Talk about it on Twitter

5. Spread the news on Facebook

6. Write an article about it on your site, for your ezine, or for an article directory.

Twitter Automation

I am a strong believer in the use of article marketing automation and social media tools, because there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything ourselves. So one social media tool that I use quite a bit to automate my article marketing is Twitter.

While you need to actively be present and writing messages on Twitter to build relationships with folks, there are parts of your life on Twitter which can totally be automated and increase your visibility and traffic all at once.

FIRST, you need to set up your blog and article directory RSS feeds to automatically post your newly published articles to your Twitter account. I do this with a free service called Twitterfeed. What this means is that as soon as your articles are published, they will also be posted to your Twitter stream. People can click on the links and go read your articles. This will greatly increase the amount of traffic you get to your articles. Sometimes people just need the information placed in front of them instead of waiting for them to find it.

SECOND, you need to be able to automatically schedule tweets, add tweet followers, unfollow folks who you aren’t interested in, and send direct messages (like welcome messages). You can set all of this up to work automatically with a great Twitter tool I like called TweetAdder (my affiliate link:). I have been using this tool for a couple of months now to naturally schedule SOME of my tweets and to follow or unfollow people. All I have to do is login and it does all the work for me everyday. (Voted best Twitter adder software and is both Mac and Windows compatible.)

Traffic Building: Link To Your Articles At A Wiki To Build Traffic

As I usually do about once a month, I was checking my Google Analytic statistics on one of my sites to see what I can do to improve traffic building, and saw that I was receiving a good deal of referral traffic from a resource link placed after a Q&A at a wiki website: http://wiki.answers.com

If you pop on over to this and some other wiki sites, you can see that people may ask a question, and then someone leaves an answer. There is also a space that allows you to link to a reference after that answer.

Now while I did not answer this particular question (it was an absolute bonus that someone answered a question and used an article on one of my sites as a reference), I totally have been “sold” on why I should probably spend a bit more energy going to this type of site and getting involved as someone who does give answers on my topic. It’s a fantastic way to build traffic!

This one link was the 5th top referral source of traffic to my website. So imagine if I actually put some effort into this and created a few more links on this wiki? That is what I am planning on doing and I think you should too. These are just a few things I think you should keep in mind when pursuing this type of article link love…

1. Truly Contribute To The Wiki Community
No one likes a Wiki spammer. The point is to create information or write answers to questions that are informative, helpful, and educational. Don’t do this just for the sake of doing it, because it would be a wasted effort. People can smell “junk” a mile away and would not click on the referral link. The person that referred to my article, wrote an insightful answer to a question on the wiki website.

2. Link To Your Article’s URL, Not A Main URL
It’s on a wiki where you can start to do a lot of that deep linking that I am always talking about. Link to articles that are deep into your site. The search engines will LOVE you for it because it creates a much more natural linking structure. Plus, you want to send the person who needs the answer straight to the information they need, not the front page of your site or an article directory website.

3. Use Keywords In Your Link Anchor Text
Again, here is another great opportunity to improve and build traffic by using keywords as your linking text. Don’t just use “click here” or “get more information”. Use your keywords such as “Article Marketing“.

4. Refer Other People In Related Niches
A great way to build partnerships with people with businesses in related niches to yours is to recommend them. A wiki is a great place to refer another person’s service or product, because it is an authoritative source of information. Don’t be shy either, once you have made the referral, let them know that you did!

It is a known fact that any business owner has to have a certain amount of credibility in order to begin to instill trust in potential prospects. The problem is that when you are a solopreneur, mompreneur, or other type of small business, you have a lot of competitors who already have a big head start on the credibility factor. So what’s an entrepreneur to do?

Well, I’m about to show you how to boost your credibility and build your business quickly by using business article marketing on a regular and consistent basis. It’s easier then you think. Welcome to business article marketing…

1. Every business should have a blog. The days of deciding whether or not to have a blog or just a 5 page site are over. The bottom line is that search engines love fresh content, and nobody delivers that better then a blog format — especially a WordPress blog. This is an essential element of business article marketing.

2. Every business should create a blog writing schedule and stick to it. This is the most labor intensive part of effective business article marketing, I promise! But it’s well worth it. Whether you decide to write 3 days a week, every other day, or everyday — the key is to find the right writing schedule for you (or whoever writes your content) and stick to it. The search engine spiders love it when they can expect you to publish articles. That way they make sure they are their to come gobble it up and show it in search engine results.

3. Every business article marketer should write articles on the blog that can help visitors to your site and potential prospects solve a problem. If you want to start building a fan base and therefore boost your credibility in your marketplace, you have to be seen as a source of information. As a trusted expert.

4. Every business owner needs to deliver these info-packed articles on a regular basis to people who join your list. This a really crucial part of business article marketing, because while many people will stop by and visit your site based on a search or a referral – they may not come by to read your articles every time you publish. That’s why they join your list. Email marketing is still alive and well. It is free and one of the most direct forms of reaching people interested in what you do.

It would be best if you used this to your advantage, by combining the power of articles AND email marketing by creating an Automatic Article Ezine. What Time Should I Post To Twitter & Facebook?

Have You Ever Wondered What Is The Best Time To Post To Twitter And Facebook?

I really love social marketing, but like most of you my time is limited, I really need to maximize how much time I spend on social marketing and make sure that I am getting the most bang for time spent online. Especially on my favorite social marketing tools – Twitter and Facebook.

FIRST
I took a look at some of my friends and associates who use social media as a primary source of communication with prospective clients and customers. So I asked one of my good friends, group coaching mastery expert, Wendy Y Bailey (@WendyYBailey) who seems to really use Twitter smartly and effectively : “Hey WendyY, when are the prime times to send out tweets?”

Wendy roughly estimates that: 7-9:30 am ET or 7-10 pm ET are the prime times to post to twitter. I suppose that makes sense. People are just logging into their computers at work in the am around those times and can check email, Twitter, and Facebook before they get to work. Also, people obviously spend more time on the computer after dinner, so 7 to 10pm makes sense.

SECOND
I took a look at my website statistics to see what was the “prime time” for visitors on my blog. People were visiting my site most at around 11am EST. My visitor traffic is pretty evenly spread between both the East and West coasts of the US, so I found that time pretty interesting because I would typically post a new article on my blog much earlier at around 6:00 am EST.

So I dug a little deeper. What I found was that there was a correlation between my blog posts and when people started talking about them, sharing them, etc. on social media. In my social networks, people are engaging most with me at around 11am EST. This includes Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

TESTING
Before you can set any of your social media on autopilot and/or carve out chunks of time in your schedule to engage with folks, it’s important that you figure out your sweet spot. I just want you to be comforted in the fact that once you figure that time out, you don’t necessarily need to be online that time everyday. Some of this can be automated with autotweets using a variety of free and premium online Twitter tools. I recommend using Hootsuite or Tweetadder to do this.

BOTTOM LINE
The bottom line is that to figure out what time is best for you to post to Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn you need to vary the times you post your articles, vary the times you engage in social media, and then watch. When do the two meet? That is your sweet spot.
