I have been coaching folks in two different niches for several years now — online and offline, and while I have always wanted to be as inclusive as possible so that I could reach as many new clients as possible — I always wondered about the possibility of offering platinum styled coaching programs and bringing in more money from motivated clients. Sounds like a dream right?
Guess what? Not many of us are implementing them and there are a few reasons why:
1. Why buy the cow when you are giving away the milk for free!
Many of us (and I have been guilty of this) of giving away too much of our information and ourselves for little to no cost. Now there is a fine line with this. You have to teach people something in order for them to trust you and want to work with you, yet you can’t give away all of your trade secrets. More importantly, don’t give away access to you for free. That’s what people want more of. Direct contact with you.
2. You don’t think anyone has the money for it (especially in this economy!)
Hey I am always complaining about the price of cheese (we love cheese in my house:-) during this tough economic time, but yet there are certain things that I will still pay for. Especially if I feel that I am getting special treatment or special access. In fact, I just paid to be a part of platinum coaching program as part of new commitment this year to adding more “focus” to my business. Certain motivated prospects in your niche will want to as well.
3. You don’t have time to implement a platinum program in your business.
Actually, you have all the time in the world because a platinum program is only for a few select motivated people. Not for all the yo-yo’s on your list who never read your emails anyway:-) You will only have to work with a few people who are so motivated that they will be a joy to work with, AND you will bring in more money from those select few than you would would selling 1000 units of one of your infoproducts.
4. You have no idea how to do set up a platinum program
I was always a little hesitant to go down the platinum path because of the fact that I hadn’t had all my other ‘programs’ in place that I thought should come before them. The reality is – is that you can start with a platinum program first because they are much easier to start and manage due to the small and exclusive size of a platinum program vs. low cost membership program.
If you are coach, consultant, author, speaker, holistic therapist, or some other type of solopreneur — not offering a platinum styled program is truly like leaving money on the table. No – leaving it on the table and then blowing it out the front door! If you are ready to take a leap with me and build a lucrative, enjoyable, and rewarding platinum program for your members then I highly recommend learning how to do it from THE expert–Kendall Summerhawk.
While she certainly isn’t the first expert out there to offer platinum coaching, she is the only I know who is teaching folks how to use platinum programs to bring in an additional six figures to their businesses.
Take a look at her fabulous home study system (business in a box) if you have ever thought about incorporating a platinum program into your existing business. I think that it is well worth the investment. **Copies may be limited during first release, so check it out today or you may have to wait until the second release.
